Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on April 14, 2022. There were 5 children present ages 12months through three years old totaling 13 points. During the inspection a walking tour of the home inside and out was completed. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including play activities and transitions. Additionally, the first aid kit, emergency equipment and emergency evacuation drills were reviewed to determine if required documentation was complete. Violations regarding physical plant, unlocked chemicals, staff training and children?s records were observed and discussed with the provider during the exit interview at the conclusion of the inspection.

There was a stack of stored items, outside equipment and furnishings, as well as a Rubbermaid storage unit with the doors removed stacked on one side of the outside play space. There was not a barrier preventing children from gaining access to these items

Description: Based on observation the provider failed to ensure that chemicals are stored in a location that is inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
Sitting on a table on the patio outside play space there was a spray bottle of ?power cleaner.? The location of the cleaning chemical was within reach of children during the inspection.
