The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and
monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the
Virginia Department of Social Services. The DOE Licensing website is childcareva.com for model forms, resources and background
information.
- Comments:
-
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. Five children were present with one caregiver for 10 points which is within ratios for supervision. Observed hand washing, lunch time (grilled cheese sandwich, chips, apple juice and bananas) and a child being dropped off the
bus from AM school. The children use the basement play area and kitchen area for care. Reviewed 2 children's records, animal immunizations, physical space, emergency preparation and training. No medication was reported to be on-site today.The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
