Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on June 15, 2022 from approximately 9:30 am to 11:00 am. There were 7 children in attendance for a total of 8 points. 5 children?s records, the provider?s record and all household member records were reviewed. All areas of the home were observed and areas where the children are cared for were inspected. Interviews were held with the provider throughout the inspection. The inspector interacted with children in care when appropriate. The designated areas for childcare were deemed appropriate and are equipped with age appropriate toys to meet the needs of the children. Children were observed playing games on tablets and playing with toy cars. The license and current inspection were posted as well as the drill log. Fire drills were conducted monthly. The most recent was on 06/03/2022. Shelter in place drill conducted twice with the most recent on 01/18/22. The menu was posted. Transportation is provided. The vehicle was inspected and found to be in compliance. The center?s first aid kit was inspected and found complete. There were violations cited as a result of this inspection. Description:	Based on observation, the provider did not ensure to obtain documentation that the child has been adequately immunized prior to the child?s first day. Evidence: Child #2, date of enrollment 05/31/2022, had an immunization record dated 06/01/2022.
Plan of Correction:	I will make sure children do not start until after all records are received.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-350-E
Description:	Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that hot water taps available to children shall be maintained within a range of 105 degrees to 120 degrees. Evidence: The water in the bathroom that the children use was 127 degrees.
Plan of Correction:	I will have my water temperature lowered to below 120 degrees at the water heater
