A monitoring inspection was conducted on 6/23/2022 with the provider and a volunteer. There were 6 children present, ranging in ages from 1 year to 3 years, with 1 caregiver supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 1 caregiver record were reviewed. The children were playing with age appropriate toys, having lunch, and settling for rest.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-A Description: Based on provider interview, the provider failed to gave documentation of a repeat search of the central registry CPS) check every five years. Evidence: the search of the central registry for Caregiver 1 was conducted 4/5/2017; the provider stated it was not repeated in April 2022. Plan of Correction: Provider will send a repeat CPS check within the next 10 days and will send confirmation to the inspector.
