An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted this date. A total of 8 children(18pts) with the Provider and 2 assistants was present. The children were completing lunch at the beginning of the inspection. Staff were within reach of the children, engaging with them and assisting when needed with eating. A nice transition from lunch to hand washing was observed. One staff was assisting the children with toileting, hand washing and preparing for nap time and other staff were observed cleaning up from lunch and sanitizing the tables. Observation of the programming area, crib room and bathroom was conducted. The children were familiar with the routine of the day and transitioned quietly to nap time. Some of the older children were working with staff with consonant pronunciation and sounding out letters. No medication needs identified at this time and no identified food allergies. A total of 3 children's files and all staff files were reviewed. Background checks for staff and household members remain current. This inspection occurred approximately between 12pm and 1:30pm.
