Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:00pm-1:30pm. There were 4 children in the direct care and supervision of 1 caregiver. A sample of 4 children?s records, and 1 Caregiver's records were reviewed. The children were observed playing and eating. Zero new caregivers have been hired since the last inspection. 1) Up on arriving to the family day home, Child B was witnessed leaving the home and going into another home next door. The licensing inspector was let into the family day home by Child B upon their return to the family day home. The Caregiver was upstairs and Child B was out of supervision for approximately 3 minutes.
2) During the inspection, Caregiver A stated there were 4 children in care. On the main floor there were only 3 children. Caregiver A stated Child C likes to stay in the basement. Child C was out of sight and sound supervision for approximately an hour.
