1. Discussed attendance be kept as it occurs with the arrival + departure of children.
2. Reviewed requirement for the emergency preparedness plan to reviewed and signed annually.
3. Discussed the requirement for electrical outlets to have safety covers regardless of height within the daycare areas of the home.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 10:40am. Observed 7 children = 17 points with the Provider + a substitute assistant caregiver. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were playing with coloring masks, playing with play-doh, and having free-play before lunch. Lunch to be served today: fish sticks, mixed vegetable, oranges, toast, and milk. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The outdoor play area in the fenced backyard offers multiple play options. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-770 Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that there was not a working battery-operated weather band radio in the home. Evidence: The radio did not work today by battery. Plan of Correction: The provider will determine if a new radio is needed and ensure there is a working radio with weather band in the home.
