Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 8/24/22 and concluded on 8/26/22. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present and 2 staff. A total of 21 points The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 1 staff records submitted by the provider to ensure documentation was complete.
A violation notice was given to the provider along with this summary.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-130
Description: Based on the review of the caregiver records and interview with the provider the assistants English is not proficient to communicate with parents or emergency personnel or the inspector.
Evidence: The assistant can not speak, read or write English well enough to meet the standard,

Plan of Correction: I have tried to find an assistant that can speak, read and write English and it has been really hard. My mother is helping me and is currently taking English class online and using Duolingo to learn. We will continue to teach her and encourage her to speak. I will not leave her alone with the children.
