Discussed the importance of documenting emergency drills.
Reviewed proper cleaning and sanitizing surfaces with a 2 step process using soap and water and then bleach and water.
Reminded the Provider that fingerprint background checks are due in 2023 for all household members and Provider.

An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 5 children (10pts) with the Provider and 1 family member visiting. The children were listening to music and dancing and playing with legos and other toys. A lesson plan activity had been completed and artwork was hung up to dry. Observation of the program space, storage of mats, bathroom and kitchen area was made. No medication needs or food allergies at this time. Hand washing procedures were observed just before the children transitioned to lunch. Lunch today was tilapia, rice with vegetables with milk to drink. Fresh clementine and apple slices were served after the children finished their lunch. The provider remained with the children as they ate. The children were excited about going outside to play after lunch. A total of 6 children's records, Provider and both household member files were reviewed. The last documented evacuation drill was in January 2022.Plan of Correction: A fire drill will be completed this week and will be completed monthly from now on.

Evidence:
The menu posted in the family day home was for the month of February.Plan of Correction: A weekly menu will be posted and kept current.

Evidence:
A written record of attendance was not maintained.Plan of Correction: The attendance was completed for today and will include arrival and departure for each child as they arrive and leave daily.
