Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:15 am through 11:30 am. There were a total of five children (18 points) observed with two caregivers. A total of three children's files and three staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, games, free play, painting, hand washing, and other organized activities. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-960-E
Description: Based on observation, bottles were not labeled with the child's full name and the date.
Evidence:
1. Child #2's bottle was not labeled with the child's name and the date.

Plan of Correction: The bottles will be labeled with the child's name and date.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-70-A
Description: Based on record review and interview, parents were not provided in writing the required information before the child's first date of attendance.
Evidence:
1. Child # 1's record (Start date-9/12/2022) did not contain documentation of policies for the administration of medication.
2. Caregiver #1 stated that the parents were given the information, but did not return the document.

Plan of Correction: The parents will sign the policy for administration of medication today.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-210-A
Description: Based on record review and interview, caregivers did not obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.
Evidence:
1. Caregiver #3 did not have documentation of a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training.
2. Caregiver #1 confirmed that Caregiver #3 did not obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of annual training.

Plan of Correction: The caregiver will complete the sixteen hours of annual training.
