Inspector spoke with the provider about 8VAC20-800-900 during this inspection.
- Comments:
-
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:45 am pm to 12:30 pm. At the time of entrance, 9 children totaling 20 points were in care with the provider and assistant provider. The record sample size consisted of 5 children's records and the provider's record, household member' record, and the assistant's record. The children in care were observed engaging with the provider and assistant provider, participating in educational activities and free play. There have been no injuries since the last inspection and no medications are being administered at this time. Areas of noncompliance are noted in the violation narrative and were discussed with the provider during the exit meeting at the conclusion of the inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-240-A Description: Based on observation it was determined the provider did not ensure that all areas and furnishings of the family day home, inside and outside, were maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
Evidence:
There was peeling paint on the banister and on the walls in the lower level of the day care.Plan of Correction: Provider will remove or repair peeling paint.
