Standard #: 8VAC20-800-690-E Description: Based on observation, not all diapers were disposed of in a leak-proof or plastic lined storage system that is either foot operated or used in such a way that neither the caregiver's hand nor the soiled diaper touches the exterior surface of the storage system during disposal. Evidence: 1) the provider placed a soiled diaper on the carpet while dressing the child, 2) carried the diaper to the kitchen area where she used her hand to open a door to get a plastic bag, 3) carried the plastic bag with the diaper to the door, 4) used her hand to open the door, and 5) used her hand to open a trash can outside and dispose of the soiled diaper.
