Technical Assistance:
The following was discussed:
In addition to satisfactory completion of first aid training and CPR training,
caregivers shall obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in
areas relevant to their job responsibilities.

Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/05/2022. There were 7 children present and 2 caregivers. A tour of the home was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with caregivers. The Inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 3 Caregiver/Household records. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-770-60-B
Description: Based on a record review the licensee did not ensure all required information was kept for each child.
Evidence:
Child #7 did not have documentation of 1 of the 2 required emergency contact information.

Plan of Correction: The licensee will obtain this information and document it in the child's record.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-180-A
Description: Based on a record review the licensee did not ensure all caregivers had a repeat tuberculosis screening, every 2 years since the date of the last screening.
Evidence:
Caregiver #3's last tuberculosis screening was dated 08/31/2020.

Plan of Correction: The licensee has already provided the caregiver with the paperwork to obtain the TB test this week.
