An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Monday, December 5, 2022 between 11:45 AM ? 12:40 PM. There were 4 children in care being supervised by 2 caregivers. Children were observed playing with various age appropriate play materials. The inside play area, and restroom were inspected. Children?s toys, learning materials, equipment, and bathroom, inside and outside areas and the home?s first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Four children?s records, two caregiver records, emergency preparedness plan, fire drill and shelter in place logs, daily attendance and required postings were reviewed. Transportation is not provided, medication is not administered and there were no injury reports to review. The provider was available for interview, inspection and exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-280 Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates were stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: 1. A bottle of Once and Done Resilient Floor Cleaner was stored on the counter next to the sink in the bathroom accessible to children. Plan of Correction: Floor cleaner was removed from the bathroom counter during the inspection.
