A monitoring inspection was conducted on December 14, 2022. There were 12 children present, with 3 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and
emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 3 caregivers records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-780-B Description: Based on review of children's records, the provider did not annually review emergency contacts for all records.
Evidence
The provider did not annually review the emergency contact information with the parent for the record for child #1.Plan of Correction: I will have the parents review and sign off they have reviewed the emergency contact information.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-900-B Description: Based on observation, children were allowed to drink while walking around.
Evidence
Three children were observed walking around while drinking from their cups.Plan of Correction: I will make sure all children are seated when eating or drinking.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-120-B Description: Based on review of caregiver records, one does not contain all of the required documentation.
Evidence
The record for caregiver #1 did not contain documentation that at least two references were checked.Plan of Correction: Today is her first day, I will make sure to complete the references this week. Going forward I will make sure to obtain the reference checks before their first day.
