Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered related to: landline phone and children's records.

The provider demonstrated compliance related to the installation of a carbon monoxide detector.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted on 1/20/23 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. There were no children in care. A walk through f the family day home's indoor and outdoor space was conducted to assess the physical space that will be used by children. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of physical plant, emergencies and nutrition. Forms for children's records, the emergency preparedness plan and first aid supplies were reviewed; and two cribs on site were checked for compliance. The family day home had a sufficient amount toys, games and art supplies for the age range requested. One adult household member's record was reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description: Based on staff interview, the family day home did not have an operable landline telephone.
Evidence: The provider stated that a landline telephone was not installed in the family day home.

Plan of Correction: A landline telephone will be installed.
