A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on January 19, 2023. There were 8 children present with 2 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-170-G Description: Based on record review and staff interview , the licensee did not ensure there was a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. This list shall be dated and kept confidential.
Evidence: Staff #1 confirmed there was not a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions.Plan of Correction: Staff #1 will create a written list of allergy, dietary restriction and food sensitivities for children.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-190-B-12 Description: Based on record review and staff interview the licensee did not ensure there was a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which childis allergic and the steps to be taken in the event ofa suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Evidence: Staff #1 confirmed she did not have a written care plan for child #1. Child #1 physical date 1/2022 was documented the child had a peanut allergy.Plan of Correction: Staff #1 contacted parents about update physical and/or a allergy action plan to be completed by parent.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-430-A-3 Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not enure lockdown drills were completed annualy.
Evidence: Staff #1 confirmed there was not documentation of a lock down drill completed annually.Plan of Correction: Staff #1 posted the emrgency drill log and lockdowns will be included on the log.
