Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on February 6, 2023 between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. There were two children present (7 points) with one caregiver. The home, cribs, children's records, caregiver records, household member records, training logs, evacuation logs, attendance logs and emergency preparedness procedures were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-280
Description: Based on observation the provided failed to ensure that potentially poisonous substances, such as but not limited to cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemical, pesticides and petroleum distillates shall be stored away from food and in areas inaccessible to the children.

Evidence:
A container of pesticide was located on a shelf in the sleeping area.

Plan of Correction: Container was moved while inspector was on site.
