Provided consultation on standard:
1) 560: monitoring each sleeping infant in one of the following ways:
a. by placing each infant to sleep in a location where the infant is within sight and hearing of a caregiver,
b. by in-person observation of each sleeping infant at least once every 15 minutes, or
c. by using a baby monitor
2) 440: Children shall not have access to decks that do not have protective barriers or guardrails. This includes the stair opening. Deck to remain off limits until a gate or barrier is installed.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 9:30 - 10:30am with the provider and her assistant. There were eight children in care, ranging from nine months to four years of age, for a total of 23 points. Children were observed completing in a holiday-themed arts and crafts project, playing with age-appropriate toys and napping. Two child records, four caregiver/household member records, the emergency drill log, daily attendance, first aid kit, annual training and menu were reviewed. The provider is certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) as of 9/16/2022 and can administer medication to children in care.
