Technical Assistance:
Provided consultation on standard:
1) 280: Potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies, such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, and deodorizers shall be stored in areas inaccessible to children. An unlocked bottom cabinet in the bathroom is accessible to children.
2) 340: Bathrooms shall contain toilet tissue, liquid soap and paper towels (accessible to children.)

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 9:20 ? 9:40am with the provider. No children are enrolled and no children were present during this inspection. Three caregiver/household member records were reviewed and the physical equipment and environment were observed. The provider is not certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) and can not administer medication to children in care. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-940-A
Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that temperatures were maintained at or below 40 degrees F in the refrigerator. Evidence: the refrigerator temperature was measured at 48 degrees F.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated she will ensure the refrigerator is maintained at the required temperature.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-320-B
Description: Based on observation, not all unused electrical outlets had child-resistant protective covers. Evidence: there were two outlets in the childcare area that did not have a child-resistant protective cover.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she has additional outlet covers and will place them on the open outlets.
