An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:15 am through 11:15 am. There were a total of six children (--14 points) observed with two caregivers. A total of four children's files and three staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, snack, bathroom breaks, hand washing, and other organized activities. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-150-D-1 Description: Based on record review, staff did not have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation as appropriate to the age of the children in care.
Evidence:
1. Caregiver #2 did not have current cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR). Caregiver #2's CPR expired in 12/02/2022.Plan of Correction: The staff member will sign up for a CPR class immediately.

2. Caregiver #1 confirmed that the family day home did not have a landline telephone at the time of the inspection. The family day home only has a cell phone for use.Plan of Correction: The provider will get a landline telephone.

The last inspection was conducted on 09/16/2022, but the inspection findings for 01/06/2022 was posted in the family day home.Plan of Correction: The provider will print the most recent findings of the inspection and post it to the board.
