Comments:
An unannounced Renewal inspection was completed today. A total of 7 children (1 belonging to the Provider) for a total of 17 points with 2 staff were present during the inspection. At the beginning of the inspection, the older children were on the screened in porch completing an art project with the assistant. The provider was inside supervising the younger children. One child was observed napping in a crib and within sight and sound of the Provider. A walk thru of the entire home was completed. The home was found neat and organized. The outside play yard was observed and was equipped with age and stage appropriate equipment for the children currently in care. The children transitioned outside to play with 1 staff while the Provider remained inside with the younger children. Diapering and handwashing procedures were observed during the inspection. One food allergy identified but no medication needs at this time. A total of 3 children's records, all staff and household records were reviewed. No changes in household members or staff since the last inspection. The two violations found at the July inspection were reviewed and corrective actions were verified. This inspection began at approximately 10am and ended at 12:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
