Comments:

An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. Seven children were present with two caregivers for nineteen points which is within ratios for supervision. Observed children in free play with toys and equipment in the home, hand washing and diapering, transition to snack and playing music. Reviewed 2 children's records, trainings, attendance, emergency preparation and nutrition. No medication reported to be on-site today. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #:	8VAC20-800-90-C
Description:	Based on record review, 2 of 2 children's records do not have an updated record documenting additional immunizations every 6 months for children under 2 years of age. Evidence: Child #1's and Child #2's last immunization was 7/2022.
Plan of Correction:	Documentation of additional immunizations was given to the provider.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-680-B
Description:	Based on observation 2 children did not have their hands washed by a caregiver prior to eating snack. Evidence: Two children joined the table after reading a book and caregiver #2 did not have them wash their hands prior to eating.
Plan of Correction:	Provider will retrain all caregivers to ensure children's hands are washed prior to eating any food.
