Technical Assistance:
Discussed that the requirement is that initial Tuberculosis screenings must be completed no earlier than 30 days prior to hire.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring/renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:00am-11:00am. There were 11 children directly supervised by 3 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and participating in a counting activity. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on record review, a national fingerprint background check was not conducted for one staff member prior to hire.
Evidence:
Adult 3's record lists a hire date of 1/17/2023. The results of a national criminal background check were not received until 1/31/2023.
