An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/07/2023. There were 3 children, ages 17 months-2 years, totaling 8 points, and 1 provider present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of personnel, caregiver training, physical environment and equipment, emergencies, nutrition and background checks. A total of 5 children?s records and 1 provider record were reviewed. The inspector discussed upcoming expirations and pets with the provider. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 9:15 am and departed at 10:30 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-920 Description: Based on observations, the provider failed to ensure that when meals or snacks are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be dated; given to parents or posted in an area accessible to parents; list any substituted foods; and kept on file one week at the family day home.
Evidence: The posted menu for the current one-week period of March 6-10 was not complete. The menu was missing the following: the AM Snack provided on 03/07/2023; and the breakfast and afternoon snacks for Wednesday-Friday.Plan of Correction: Will complete the menu today.
