Comments:
A renewal inspection was conducted on March 20, 2023. There were four children present with one staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of four child records and two staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-540-A
Description: Based on observation, provider did not ensure when children are using high chairs that the safety strap is used and securely fastened.

Evidence: Two children were observed in high chairs and the safety strap was not used and securely fastened.

Plan of Correction: Provider will make sure the safety belt is always securely fastened when children are in high chairs.
