Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 03/28/23 and concluded on 03/28/23. There were 6 children present with 1 provider supervising. The point total was 14. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff and family records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:30am and concluded at 10:50am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-330-A
Description: Based on review of the home and discussions with the provider, the provider failed to ensure that a working landline phone was available.

Evidence:
There was no longer an available landline phone as required.

Plan of Correction: Landline service will be obtained as soon as possible. The traditional phone will be available for use in emergencies as required.
