Technical Assistance:
The Annual Updated Health & Safety Training (3 hours) will need to be conducted by all applicable staff by the end of 2023.

Comments:
This Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 04/07/2023, between the hours of 9:30 am to 11:30 am. There were 2 toddler-age children present (6 points), with 1 caregiver supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the home.

Description: Based on review, lockdown procedures were not practiced at least annually.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (04/07/2023), there was not a lockdown drill documented for 2022.
2. The Provider confirmed that a lockdown drill was not conducted in 2022.

Plan of Correction: A lockdown drill will be conducted in 2023.
