- Comments:

A monitoring inspection was completed on from 4:05pm until 4:55. No children were in care and the provider was not present. However, a household member was present so that a part of the inspection was completed. Record review was done remotely. One provider and one household record was reviewed. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition.
The family day home has added an above the ground swimming pool which has a fence around it with a locked gate. The standards in regards to swimming and pool was reviewed with the provider. The provider stated children from the family day home are not allowed in the pool. See standards 260 and 660 for the specific standards for drowning prevention and swimming and wading activities.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-170-A Description: The provider failed to get a TB screening for an adult family member.
Evidence:
Household member #1 did not have a Tb screening on file and his DOB is 02/15/2005.Plan of Correction: The household member will get the tb screening completed.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-460-C Description: Based on record review, the provider did not have animals vaccinated for rabies.
Evidence:
Animal #1, #2 and #3's rabies vaccination expired 09/27/2022.Plan of Correction: The provider got the animals vaccinated 04/11/2023.
