An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 04/20/2023. There were 12 non-resident children and 1 resident child, ages 8 months- 4 years, totaling 32 points, and 3 caregivers present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 children?s records, 4 caregiver records, 1 household member record, and 1 medication were reviewed. The children were observed in learning activities, free choice play and during lunch. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 10:25 am and departed at 12:15 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-170-B Description: Based on record review, the provider failed to ensure that the documentation of the negative tuberculosis screening/test was completed within the last 30 days.
Evidence: The record for Caregiver 3 contained a documented hire date of 03/07/2023. The date on the tuberculosis screening/test was 01/16/2023.Plan of Correction: Will always make sure that the tuberculosis test is not older than 30 days at time of hire.
