A monitoring inspection was conducted on 04/26/2023. There were a total of 7 children (15 points) observed with 3 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: movie time and hand washing. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel and household members, physical environment, care of children, handwashing, diapering, medication, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 4 caregiver/household member records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-900-B Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that children were not lying down while drinking.

Child #2 was laying down in the crib drinking a bottle.Plan of Correction: The baby will eat before laying down.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-460-C Description: Based on a review of documentation, the provider did not ensure that dogs were vaccinated for rabies.

The dog had a rabies vaccine dated 3/27/2022.Plan of Correction: We will schedule an appointment.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-530-A Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that rest mats being used for napping had linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover.
