Discussed the new online central registry check that is done on CCAP.
Discussed points and caregiver capacity.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider had 7 children in care with one assistant. A total of 25 points. The children were observed eating snack, having a music lesson. reading stories and playing. Observed children going down for morning nap. All food are brought from home by the parents. Lots of interaction between caregivers and children and lots of toys to play with. A violation was given to the provider with this inspection summary. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-130 Description: Based on interview with the provider and observation during the inspection, the assistant is unable to communicate in English.
Evidence: According to the provider the assistant understands English but doe not speak English, just a few words.Plan of Correction: She started last week and I will continue to work on getting her to speak to me in English. I will also talk to her husband who speaks very good English and ask him to practice with her.
