Comments:

An initial inspection was conducted on February 9, 2023. There were no children present, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Sample records were reviewed for staff and children. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #:	8VAC20-800-800-A
Description:	Based on review of emergency procedures, the family day home only had one page of the written emergency preparedness and response plan completed. Evidence The written emergency preparedness and response plan was not complete, only the first page was completed.
Plan of Correction:	We will complete the emergency plan before we have children in care.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-810
Description:	Based on review of emergency procedures, the evacuation procedures were not competed. Evidence The family day home, does not have an evacuation map or plan posted.
Plan of Correction:	We will make and post an evacuation plan before we accept children in care.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-530-B
Description:	Based on observation cribs did not have tight fitting bottom covers. Evidence Three cribs had very loose fitting sheets.
Plan of Correction:	Before we have children in care, we will replace the sheets with tight fitting ones.
