A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 5/10/2023. There were 7 children present with 2 providers supervising. The point total was 20. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 2 caregiver records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:50 am and concluded at 12:20 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
- Violations:

Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not obtain an updated Federal Criminal Record Check for each caregiver every 5 years following the last Criminal Record Check.
Evidence:
Two caregiver records were reviewed.
The record for caregiver #1 contained the last results of a Criminal Record Check which was dated 5/18/2018.
The licensee confirmed that this background check has expired.Plan of Correction: The provider stated that the appointment has already been made for the fingerprinting to be conducted for the Criminal Record Search.
The results will be forwarded to the inspector upon receipt.
