Standard #: 8VAC20-800-750-B Description: Based on observation of the diaper area it was determined that not all topical skin products were inaccessible to children. Evidence: A container of petroleum jelly and lotion was observed on an open lower shelf of the changing table which was accessible to children. Plan of Correction: The items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-830-A Description: Based on observation and interview with the provider it was determined that emergency evacuation drills were not conducted monthly. Evidence: There have been no emergency evacuation drills conducted for 2023. Plan of Correction: The provider will conduct emergency evacuation drills monthly.
Standard #: 8VAC20-820-120-E-6 Description: Based on observation and interview it was determined that special order notices issued by the department were not posted in a prominent place at each public entrance. Evidence: The Special Order issued to the provider on 05/11/2023 was not posted in the family day home as required. Plan of Correction: The Special Order will be printed and posted in a prominent place at the entrance for parents.
