Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on May 19 2023, between 9:30am and 10:30am. There were 3 children in the direct care of the caregiver. Children were observed napping, reading, and playing with toys. A reviews of 2 child records, the provider record, and a household member record was conducted. The attendance records, emergency drills, first aid kit, menu, and the physical space was observed and inspected. A citation is listed on the violation notice page. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-530-G
Description: Based on direct observation, the provider did not ensure children under two years of age do not used pillows or filled comforters.

Evidence: Child #2 was observed in a crib utilizing a pillow during a nap.

Plan of Correction: I will remove the pillow and inform the parents that we will not use it.
