An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
There were four children present (ages 4yrs-7yrs), plus the provider's children for a total of seven points, with the provider and an assistant.
The children were playing with toys, playing electronic games and playing an electric piano.
Four child records were reviewed.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-730-D Description: Based on a tour of the home the provider failed to ensure that all medication is kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. Household medications are inaccessible to children, but are not in a locked area.Plan of Correction: The provider will keep the door locked to prevent entry to the area where medicine is stored.
