Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:00 - 1:00pm with the provider and her assistant. There were nine children, ranging from 20 months to 12 years of age, for a total of 13 points (one child was just visiting). Children were observed playing outside with a variety of age-appropriate toys, transitioning inside, washing hands, and eating lunch. Lunch served today: chicken nuggets, saltine crackers, broccoli, peaches and milk. Three child records, two caregiver records, the emergency drill log, daily attendance, menu, emergency supplies and required posted information were reviewed. The provider is not currently certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) and cannot administer medication to children in care. If you have further questions about this inspection please contact Donna Liberman at 540-359-5244 or Donna.Liberman@doe.virginia.gov.
