Technical Assistance:

Comments:
An unannounced 60-day inspection was conducted today from 11:08 am to 11:45 am. There were 2 children directly supervised by 1 staff. The home, 2 children?s records and household member?s were up-to-date with the requirements, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and resting. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-920
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not have documentation of when meals or snacks are provided by the family day home.
Evidence:
1. The menu for the week of June 26th-30th did not have documentation of meals or snacks provided by the family day home.

Plan of Correction: Will get a board and posting and post the requirements.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-60-B
Description: Based on children's record, 2 or 2 records, the provider did not have the required information for each child's record.
1. Provider did not have a record available for review for Child #1 who begin enrollment the week of June 26th. Provider did not know the last name of the child in attendance.
2. Child #2 (date of enrollment 6/20/2022) did not have a physical examination and proof of age an identity in record available for review.

Plan of Correction: Will get parent enrollments forms, proof of ID and physical for child.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-240-A
Description: Based on walk-through of the family day home, in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. A drain on the floor had wires wrapped around. It did not have a cover to prevent children from being able to stick their fingers down the drain. The drain location is an accessible area to children.

Plan of Correction: Will get a rung and cover the rain util repair of the drainage area.
