An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:30am and 12:20pm. There were 10 children (24 points) directly supervised by the provider and 1 assistant. The home, 2 caregiver records, 3 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, and emergency supplies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, completing puzzles and eating lunch. Handwashing procedures were also observed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-90-A Description: Based on record review, 2 of 3 children's records reviewed did not contain documentation the child has been adequately immunized according to the requirements of ? 32.1-46 A of the Code of Virginia before the child's first day.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 began attending the family day home on 03/01/2023. The immunizations in the record for Child #1 were dated 03/09/2023.
2. Child #2 began attending the family day home on 04/07/2023. The immunizations in the record for Child #2 were dated 04/28/2023.Plan of Correction: Moving forward, immunizations, signed by a doctor, will be obtained from the parents before the child's first day.
