An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 12:20pm. Observed 8 children totaling 26 points with 3 caregivers. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Staffing has remained consistent for a period of years. Children were taking naps during the inspection. Lunch served included chicken noodle soup, cucumbers, cheese, hotdogs, and milk. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The outdoor play areas offer a variety of active play options for the children. The program is participating in the VQB5 quality program. An area of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed was found. Standard #: 22.1-289.035-A Description: Based on records reviewed, the licensee failed to ensure that 3 of 3 caregiver records included a criminal record check (CRC) within 5 years of the previous completed CRC.
Evidence:
1. Caregiver #1 - The previous CRC was completed 1/29/18.
2. Caregiver #2 - The previous CRC was completed 2/10/18.
3. Caregiver #3 - The previous CRC was completed 5/18/18.Plan of Correction: Caregivers indicated they would promptly complete the criminal record checks for each.
