A monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/17/2023 and concluded on 08/17/2023 from 10:10 PM to 11:30 AM. There were 4 children present, ranging in ages from 5 months years to 7 years, with the provider. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies. A total of 3 children?s records and the provider?s record and one member of the household?s record was reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-40-D-5 Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider failed to ensure that within 30 days of a member of the household becoming 14-years-old a search of the central registry was completed.
Evidence:
The provider verified that member of household 2 was due to obtain a central registry background check by 5/27/23. The provider stated she had not completed a central registry background check.Plan of Correction: During the inspection the licensing inspector assisted the provider in completing the online paperwork for a central registry background check for household member 2. The provider will forward the results when completed to her licensing inspector.
