An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on August 28, 2023, from approximately 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM. There were 3 children present, ranging in ages from 4 months to 2 years, totaling 10 points with 1 staff supervising. The inspector observed children sitting in a swing and playing with toys. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Transportation is not provided, and medication is not being administered. A total of 3 child records, 2 staff records and 2 household members record were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A Description: Based on a review records and interview, the provider did not update central registry checks every five years for all household members.
Evidence:
1. The record for household member #2 contained a central registry dated 06/19/2017. The central registry should have been updated on or before 6/19/2022.
2. Provider acknowledged household member #2 central registry results were expired and she had not submitted paperwork for a new central registry.Plan of Correction: Will mail out central registry background today.
