Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between 3:15pm- 4:30pm. There were 11 children present with the Provider and 2 assistants for a total of 26 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed waking up from their nap time, washing hands, having afternoon snack, and being picked up by their parents. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and caregiver/household member records, evacuation drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-210-A
Description: Based on a review of caregiver records, 3 out of 3 caregivers did not obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.

Evidence:
1. There was no documentation of annual training in areas relevant to their job responsibilities for Caregiver #1 at the time of the inspection.
2. There was no documentation of annual training in areas relevant to their job responsibilities for Caregiver #2 at the time of the inspection.
3. There was no documentation of annual training in areas relevant to their job responsibilities for Caregiver #3 at the time of the inspection.

Plan of Correction: We will make sure every caregiver has 16 hours or more of annual training each year moving forward.
