Technical Assistance:

Discussed medication policy and procedures documents; emergency drill documents; handwashing procedures; and diapering procedures.

Comments:

A focus inspection was conducted on August 29, 2023 from 10:50 am- 12:16pm. There was 5 children and staff present. The children were transitioning into lunch and nap time. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Information gathered during the inspection determined area of non-compliance. Areas of non-complaince is noted on the violation notice.

Standard #:	8VAC20-800-60-B
Description:	Based on staff interview and record review, the licensee did not a child's record contain all required information. Evidence: Child #1 record was missing second emergency contact name , address and phone number. Child #2 record was missing mothers work phone number and emergency contact address.
Plan of Correction:	Provider will inform parents and have updated by September 1, 2023.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-90-A
Description:	Based on record review and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure before a child may attend the family day home, the providee shall obtian documentation that the child has been adequately immunized according to the requirements of ? 32.1-46 A of the Code of Virginia and applicable State Board of Health regulations. Evidence: Provided did not have documentation Child #1 ( start date 08/21/2023) and Child #2 ( start date 8/21/2023) immunization prior to start.
Plan of Correction:	The provider will notified the parents to have immunizations by the 12th of Septemeber. Future enrolled children will have immunization before start date.
