Comments:
An announced Initial inspection was conducted today from 10:00am to 11:00am. There were two children (5 points) with two caregivers. Provider and one household member records were reviewed and found complete. One staff files was reviewed and found complete. Two children's records were reviewed. The home was supplied with ample toys and programming equipment appropriate for the children currently in care. Adequate space determined for the requested capacity of 12 children. Children were observed playing with toys and other group activities. Emergency procedures, Emergency Plan, provider contract, First Aid/CPR certification was verified. Three cribs found on site and meet the CPSC requirements. Violations found today during this inspection were reviewed with provider and an appropriate corrective action was provided. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-760-A-1
Description: Based on observation, the first aid kit did not contain the minimum supplies.
Evidence:
1. The first aid kit did not contain adhesive tape.

Plan of Correction: The provider will buy adhesive tape for the first aid kit.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-90-C
Description: Based on record review, the family day home did not obtain documentation of additional immunizations for a child.
Evidence:
1. Child #2's record (Start date-07/25/2022) did not contain documentation of additional immunizations. The last immunization record was dated 08/24/2022.

Plan of Correction: The provider has contacted the parents of the child to request updated immunization records. The provider will document the record once the updated immunizations have been received.
