An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today at 9:45am. There were 1 children directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The home, 2 caregiver records, 1 child?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and eating snack. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-690-E Description: Based on observation, the family day home did not have a diaper disposal system that is either foot operated or used in such a way that neither the caregiver's hand nor the soiled diaper or wipe touches the exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.
Evidence:
There was no hands free method of diaper disposal on the date of inspection. The provider stated that it had broken.Plan of Correction: Blanca Salguero will buy a hands free diaper disposal system. We will make sure if it breaks, to buy one the same day.
