Comments:
An unannounced 60-day inspection was conducted on 9/5/23 from 10:40am to 12:00pm with the provider. The 60-day inspection is to observe standards that could not be observed during the initial inspection. There were four children in care, ranging in age from nine-months to 23-months-old, for a total of 13 points. Children were observed eating lunch, washing hands, and having free play. Four child records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. Three medications were reviewed and the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Lunch served was pasta with spaghetti sauce and turkey meatballs, broccoli, cut apples and grapes, and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and carbon monoxide detector were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
