Technical assistance provided and licensing standards regarding outdoor physical plant was reviewed.

An announced initial inspection was conducted on October 3, 2023, from 11:45am to 12:50pm. The applicant intends to operate a family day home for up to 6 children, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years old. At the time of entrance, there were 4 children in care, for a total of 8 points, with the provider. Children were transitioning to nap on their cots. A complete tour of the home was given and the entire home, to include areas where children will be cared for, bathroom facilities, kitchen and the outside play area were inspected. First aid and emergency supplies, documentation of emergency practice drills, the emergency preparedness plan and required postings were reviewed. There is no transportation provided. There are no medications administrated however provider is in the process of getting MAT certified. There were no violations identified during the inspection. A six month conditional license is recommended to allow the applicant the opportunity to demonstrate continued compliance with the Standards for Licensed Family Day Homes. All future inspections will be unannounced. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued.
