Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/10/23 from 2:45pm to 3:50pm with the provider and one assistant. There were nine children in care, ranging in age from one-year to four-years-old, for a total of 20 points. Children were observed waking from nap, having snack, and playing outside. Two child records, two caregiver records, and one pet record were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not give medication and understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. Snack served was crackers and apple juice. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
